JOIN US: ICAF LIVE STREAM APPALSHOP DOCUMENTARY AND LIVE TALKBACK

We are very pleased to announce that on June 3rd we will organize a live streaming session with our colleagues from Roadside Theater (U.S.A.), the theater wing of grassroots arts and humanities institution Appalshop. We will join Appalshop in screening their documentary “Tell Me a Story, Sing Me a Song” as part of Appalshop’s ongoing Facebook Watch Parties.   ‘Tell Me a Story, Sing Me a Song’ (1985) is a short film that documents performances by Roadside Theatre, Junebug Productions, and A Traveling Jewish Theatre, and the impact their work made on impromptu local audiences. After the screening of the film, we will moderate on Zoom a talkback session with Roadside Theatre Director, Becca Finney, and Roadside ensemble member and Lead Organizer for the Performing Our Future coalition, Ben Fink. In this discussion we will talk about their work and their views on community (and) arts. You are very welcome to join the session. Just send an email to info@icafrotterdam.com and we will send you a Zoom link in return!

WHEN: June 3rd, 1:30 pm EDT / 7:30pm CET
