Louise Lowe is one of Ireland’s most exciting theatre artists. She specialises in intimate, site-specific shows that have a deep involvement in the communities where they are set. Her contexts range from abandoned Ballymun tower blocks in the 2005 Tumbledowntown, to her own childhood home in 2009’s Basin. Her production Laundry (2011), about the abuse of teenage mothers by Catholic nuns, made a huge national impact. At ICAF 2014 she worked in a residency with RWT in Rotterdam.
