DanceAble at Holland Dance

DanceAble at Holland Dance

For the first time ever in the Netherlands, at the end of November a platform will be created for a new kind of choreography: inclusion dance.  This form of movement attempts to literally break through physical limitations by productively working with the creative capabilities of both abled and disabled bodies. To challenge traditional ideas about what is considered the perfectly functioning body, Holland Dance is organising a three-day event on creating beauty in disability. At DanceAble both amateur and professional dancers with and without handicap will present the amazing results of their collaborations. As part of this event, the internationally renowned break-dance crew ILL-Abilities will make their Dutch debut. In addition, a large community art project will demonstrate that with dedication and joy, the things we often believe to be impossible can become reality.
