The mission of R.A.A.F. (Roots, Authenticity, Agape, Freedom) is to foster connection, healing, and self-expression through dance, while strengthening the role of art and movement within healthcare and well-being. This vision grew out of the project “Dance! with F|Fort”, developed with young adults living with and beyond cancer (AYA’s – Adolescents & Young Adults). The project demonstrated how dance can significantly improve physical, mental, and social well-being, attracting strong interest from both healthcare and arts institutions.
Building on this foundation, R.A.A.F. offers a range of workshops, masterclasses, courses, and training programmes for people with life-changing experiences, healthcare professionals, and dance practitioners who wish to contribute to well-being within care contexts.
All of R.A.A.F.’s projects are rooted in the principles of community arts — participatory, inclusive, and focused on strengthening communities. The foundation believes in the transformative power of co-creation, where participants are not just observers but active collaborators. Their personal stories, lived experiences, and cultural backgrounds form the heart of the artistic process, creating meaningful connections between art, health, and society.
