Soft Touch Arts was founded 25 years ago as a co-operative with 5 members. The company now employs 12 people. Over the years Soft Touch developed an issue-based approach to community arts which has become a model of good practice particularly, though not exclusively. with young people. The company is now well established as a participatory/Community arts organisation developing a wide range of projects including work with Youth Offenders, looked-after young people, gypsy and traveller communities, and refugees and asylum seekers. Soft Touch also has an extensive range of arts and health, community cohesion, regeneration, and educational projects.
