Simon Allemeersch is an artist and theater maker with a great interest in social-artistic projects. He followed the directing course at the RITS in Brussels. In 2006 he won the Young Theater prize at the Theater Aan Zee festival in Ostend with the performance Marre de Boire. Together with Giovanni Barcella and Nicolas Delalieux he made The Boxer and Death (2007). In December 2010, Simon moves into a social housing block in the Ghent district of Rabot. He has had his personal studio here for two years. The neighbourhood, which is slowly emptying because the residential towers will be demolished in the future, is the inspiration for RABOT 4-358: a documentary performance, exhibition and book. He also kept a blog about his experiences during that time.
