El libro «Prácticas artísticas, participación y política» es el resultado de una investigación innovadora, de gran alcance, que pretende entender las relaciones que se establecen entre las prácticas artísticas comunitarias y la participación cívica y política. El libro busca la confluencia de distintas contribuciones del arte, la educación y la participación cívica y política, a partir de experiencias en Europa y Latinoamérica, y profundiza en el diálogo entre la teoría y la práctica. Se desarrollan cuestiones como la identificación de los elementos definidores de las prácticas artísticas comunitarias, las potencialidades y debilidades que encierran los procesos creativos y, asimismo, se indaga en las dimensiones que las conectan a la participación cívica y política de los implicados. Finalmente, se identifican elementos que permiten actualizar la definición de las prácticas artísticas comunitarias, así como proponer un concepto de calidad de la participación cultural y artística.
The book “Artistic practices, participation and politics” is the result of innovative, far-reaching research that seeks to understand the relationships established between community artistic practices and civic and political participation. The book seeks the confluence of different contributions from art, education, and civic and political participation, based on experiences in Europe and Latin America, and delves into the dialogue between theory and practice. Issues are developed such as the identification of the defining elements of community artistic practices, the potentialities and weaknesses contained in the creative processes and, likewise, the dimensions that connect them to the civic and political participation of those involved are investigated. Finally, elements are identified that allow updating the definition of community artistic practices, as well as proposing a concept of quality of cultural and artistic participation.
