‘De Ader’, is a film by Dansnest. ‘De Ader’ brings together dancers, makers, neighbourhood professionals, and city residents to find answers to the question of what it means to be connected.
During the event ‘Dance through the Neighbourhood’ which took place on the last weekend of June and the first weekend of July 2024, participants danced the young and the older, across a diverse array of cultures. Through these activities the desire to discover and understand each other was highlighted. The beauty of this desire and the attempt to get closer to each other touched all that joined.
‘De Ader’ creates new situations in which city residents can participate in a playful way that are both accessible and infectious. The film shows how to remove strict frameworks, so that spontaneous space can arise for creation, movement, fun, meeting and conversation.
