We are very happy to welcome a new yet familiar face to the ICAF team. Theatre maker Jasmina Ibrahimovic will be assistant programmer for the next edition of ICAF. Many of you will already know Jasmina from the previous editions of ICAF and from her work at the Rotterdams Wijktheater, where she has written and directed several productions.
“At the age of ten I came to Holland as a war refugee from former Yugoslavia. We anchored and found a save haven in the beautiful, multicultural city of Rotterdam. But, the first time after leaving my home that I truly felt at home, surrounded by people I knew by heart, was when I experienced my first ICAF in 2008. As a little girl I used to dream about meeting with the political leaders of the Serbs and the Bosnians and making them talk to each other. I was confident that a dialogue would stop the war. With ICAF I found people who believe the same, and who make it their daily job to create an aesthetic dialogue, in different ways, in different contexts, with different people. I am humbled to be a part of the ICAF team and I am very eager to learn a lot from all of you.“
