Chris McAlinden is a 23-year-old freelance workshop facilitator working in the field of Forum Theatre, Global Development Education, Storytelling and Dialogue. After achieving a First Class in a BA (Hons) Drama degree, he decided to embark on a Masters in Film and Visual at Queens University in Northern Ireland, where he is currently focusing on Screenwriting and Directing Fiction. In the documentary ‘We Carry Our Secrets', he portrays the inter-generational impact of the violence in Northern Ireland. He tells his story about growing up in a divided society, where he was unable to find an identity and purpose in life.

From my teenage diary:
"Smoked 10 joints, drank one bottle of Buckfast. Hung under the subway with friends. Hid from the peelers (‘cops')."
