In the past few months, ICAF and Sharing Arts Society have been exploring ideas on organising a Summer School at the end of August 2016. Sharing Arts Society (SAS) is a new, internationally and interculturally oriented initiative focused on ‘sharing’ art projects in which an artist works with the collective creativity of a group. SAS experiments with and reflects on the art of sharing, collecting stories and the renewal of traditions through moveable spectacles in public space, through research & debate, and in August 2016 also in the form of a joint ICAF/SAS Summer School. From 22 to 28 August we will be offering workshops on the art of parade making under guidance of international artists, including partners from Brazil, Belgium and South Africa. Half May we will publish a Summer School Special that includes the complete program, information on how to register, and other details.
