Under the Blue Surface is a foundation that creates projects at the intersection of cultural heritage, art, and community participation. Through collaborations with local communities, artists, and educational partners, the foundation brings stories, craftsmanship, and cultural memory to life. Their work often connects Surinamese and Dutch heritage, using theatre, visual arts, architecture and research to explore and preserve cultural identity. Under the Blue Surface aims to engage people of all ages in creative processes that strengthens cultural awareness of shared history.
