Common Frames believes in the unifying power of creating media. They develop and organize film and media literacy projects for and with young newcomers. Media plays an important role in how we view the world and the people behind Common Frames are convinced that making media teaches us to look at this more critically. In their projects they bring various worlds together and look for common frames. In this way they help build bridges between the worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Methods of participatory video, co-creation and ownership are at the core of the Common Frames work. Together with newcomers they discover what works and they adjust their methods accordingly. Common Frames work towards a media landscape in which everyone can participate and feels seen and heard.
