Via het educatieve programma dat hij co\u00f6rdineert bij een van China&#8217;s meest prominente instituten voor podiumkunsten, zijn veel van zijn afgestudeerden gaan werken in sociaal-artistieke projecten. Hieronder vallen participatieve theaterinitiatieven met arbeidsmigranten, mensen met een handicap en zogenaamde minderheidsculturen in zowel Shanghai als verafgelegen regio&#8217;s zoals de provincie Guizhou en de Yu Shu Tibetaanse Autonome Regio.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Shen (die een Ph.D. heeft van de Shanghai Theatre Academy) is ge\u00efntrigeerd door community art sinds zijn doctoraatsuitwisselingswerk aan Yale en Brown University in de VS en zijn praktische samenwerking met groepen zoals het Bread &amp; Puppet Theatre.
