Namoodack Movement Laboratory

Founded in 2002, Namoodack Movement Laboratory (S. Korea) works on finding the universality withing all of various movements such as body, mind, sound and the movement of the society. The Lab also aims to research on the ritual play which combines plays inside the story of masks, puppets and shadows. One main approach is the continuous research regarding ritual play and environmental theatre, inventing the performances annually. It is also important for the Lab to be part of international exchange and local education projects, connecting communities both local & international in the exploration of, and invigorating local culture, such as the Youngyang WonNoreum project, in the building of infrastructure to modernize regional folktales, myths as well as cultural art in the Northern Kyoungbuk region.
