“Deslenchos” is a book of fictional stories based on real events and also a reflection on identity, migratory grief and racism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on several characters, all of them migrants or of Moroccan descent and residents of Catalonia, the author narrates, without blunts and with a sometimes surprising denouement, different realities lived while immersed in the encounter between “codes” of reference that do not flow in the same direction, do not understand each other and much less are equal in their right to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stories talk about people who, in their day-to-day lives, navigate between various contexts of oppression without ceasing to fight, dream and yearn for a better future. Brave women, mothers and daughters; young people with doubts, dreams and a long way to go; brooding, hunched fathers with laden rucksacks and unforgettable feisty grandmothers. In short, a piece of the essence of all those people who struggle to be more free, to be more themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
