Hobson Street Theatre Company is het eerste en enige theatergezelschap met en voor daklozen in Nieuw-Zeeland. Het werd in 2010 opgericht als een plek waar dakloze mensen uit Auckland en omgeving hun creativiteit konden ontdekken en hun verhalen konden delen. In Nederland wordt de Pauluskerk in Rotterdam gezien als een belangrijk toevluchtsoord en veilige haven voor zowel daklozen als ongedocumenteerde mensen. Voorafgaand aan het festival wisselden de twee organisaties artistiek materiaal uit via Zoom en e-mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als vervolg op dit online uitwisselingstraject werken ze samen vanaf donderdag 23 maart gedurende zes dagen fysiek in de Pauluskerk aan een uitgebreid programma van participatieve artistieke workshops, vari\u00ebrend van schrijven, tot fotografie, tot muziek, tot theater. In deze workshops delen de deelnemers hun persoonlijke verhalen, dromen en verlangens en verkennen ze het thema van deze festivaleditie \u201cThe Sound of Change\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met de nadruk op &#8216;ontmoeting&#8217;, en gefaciliteerd door de begeleiders en kunstenaars verbonden aan Hobson Street Theater en Pauluskerk bieden de workshops ruimte voor verbinding, inspiratie en de uitwisseling van werkwijzen van deze organisaties die beiden een vitale functie in onze samenleving vervullen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Als onderdeel van een creatieve uitwisseling in de maanden voorafgaand aan het ICAF, hebben de Pauluskerk uit Rotterdam en Hobson Street Theatre Company uit Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland samen toegewerkt naar een artistieke presentatie. The base of the Pauluskerk is the importance and the \u2018perspective of better\u2019 of these people. And so everybody is more than welcome.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Because of the bad economy, a lot of reductions at the social care and the healthcare and all the time stronger policies for foreigners and asylum it became more difficult to survive in this society. Without help it\u2019s barely possible to change this. Exactly those people we want to help. And through our activities we would like to offer them a new perspective.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Pauluskerk have an entire cultural programme dedicated to those who use their services.
