Voor het ICAF verzorgt Adrian Jackson (VK), theatermaker, schrijver, vertaler van Augusto Boals boeken en oprichter van Cardboard Citizens, een interactieve masterclass waarin hij zijn rijke ervaring deelt. Zijn workshop is een mix van praktijk en theorie, waarbij hij onderzoekt hoe Forum Theater doorontwikkeld kan worden en het simplistische kan vermijden door de complexiteit van de echte wereld te omarmen. Hij besteedt aandacht aan de \u2018intersectionele\u2019 aard van de moderne mens, het idee dat elk individu in zijn leven meerdere petten op heeft en meerdere rollen vervult. Al spelend en onderzoekend leren deelnemers hoe ze dit kunnen toepassen in hun eigen theaterwerk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adrians workshop biedt voldoende ruimte voor spelletjes, oefeningen, vragen en antwoorden over de methodiek die hij in de loop der jaren heeft geperfectioneerd. Adrians verhaal, zijn visie op de rol van kunst\/theater in de samenleving en zijn energie zullen zonder twijfel makers inspireren die ge\u00efnteresseerd zijn in Boals Theater van de Onderdrukten (Theater of the Opressed). Ze zullen zeker ook boeiend zijn voor andere rebelse en creatieve geesten die een positieve verandering in de wereld willen teweegbrengen middels kunst met en voor mensen die in de marge van de samenleving leven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Adrian Jackson is een Engelse theaterregisseur, toneelschrijver, docent en trainer. Hij was de oprichter en directeur van Cardboard Citizens [\u2018Burgers van Karton\u2019], opgericht in 1991, een theatergezelschap met, voor en door mensen die dakloos zijn, een vluchtverleden hebben of in een asielprocedure zitten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Naast zijn werk als artistiek directeur van Cardboard Citizens en maker en schrijver van een groot aantal toneelstukken is Adrian Jackson een leraar en vertaler. Hij vertaalde de boeken van Augusto Boal, waaronder zijn meest recente werk, “De esthetiek van de onderdrukten”. Daarnaast heeft hij de methodiek van de Theater van de Onderdrukten in vele contexten onderwezen, in heel Europa, maar ook in Azi\u00eb, Afrika en Latijns-Amerika. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Adrian Jackson hecht veel waarde aan de artistieke kwaliteit van het theater dat hij maakt, of het nu gaat om forum- of episch theater. In 2022 regisseerde hij een grootschalige nieuwe musical, de Ruff Tuff Cream Puff Estate Agency<\/em> voor het Belgrade Theater in Coventry als onderdeel van Coventry City of Culture. Onlangs richtte hij STOP (School of Theatre of the Oppressed) op in Londen. In addition to being the artistic director of Cardboard Citizens and the designer of a large number of plays with the company, Adrian Jackson is a teacher and translator who has travelled a lot and taught in over thirty countries worldwide. He has worked as a translator of Augusto Boal, including his most recent work: \u201cThe aesthetics of the oppressed\u201d, and collaborated with him on many occasions. He has taught the methodology of the Theatre of the Oppressed in many contexts, throughout Europe, as well as in Asia, Africa and Am\u00e9rica Latina.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
