Door samenwerking, collectieve verantwoordelijkheid en gezamenlijke verbeelding ontstaan tijdelijke gemeenschappen van mensen die elkaar daarvoor niet kenden, en dat in soms een verrassend korte tijd. De sessie gaat in op wat ervoor nodig is om mensen die elkaar nog niet kennen samen te laten werken, gezamenlijk keuzes te laten maken en vertrouwen en verbondenheid op te bouwen. Verbeelding wordt hierbij niet gezien als iets individueels, maar als een gezamenlijke sociale vaardigheid die je kunt oefenen en ontwikkelen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Community art kunstenaar en facilitator Ruth Ben-Tovim geeft in deze sessie een inkijkje in haar werkwijze. Ze deelt de principes, keuzes en lessen die haar praktijk in de afgelopen 25 jaar hebben gevormd, met speciale aandacht voor <em>Town Anywhere<\/em>: een grootschalig proces waarin een tijdelijke gemeenschap samen een toekomstvisie ontwikkelt. Before focusing her creative practice as a socially and ecologically engaged artist she worked as a theatre maker devising, creating and touring work in collaboration with scientists and writers. From 2003 \u2013 2020 she was the\u00a0 co- founder and\u00a0 Exec Director of<a href=\"https:\/\/encountersarts.wixsite.com\/legacy\">\u00a0Encounters Arts\u00a0<\/a>midwifing over 90 intimate creative and participatory interventions and processes across the UK that invited thousands of people from\u00a0different backgrounds to explore and express their experiences of the past, responses to the present and\u00a0 hopes and fears about the future.\u00a0 Work included being part of the team representing the UK at the Venice Biennale of Architecture,\u00a0 projects for Liverpool Capital of Culture and the RSA Art and Social change programme in Peterborough. Ruth held local and national roles\u00a0 in the early stages of Extinction Rebellion and she was one of the co-founders of the Culture Declares Emergency network.
