In 2025 legde de kudde meer dan 20.000 kilometer af, langs steden als Kinshasa, Lagos, Dakar, Marrakesh, Casablanca, Madrid, Barcelona, Marseille, Arles, Parijs, Veneti\u00eb, Manchester, Londen, Aarhus, Kopenhagen, Stockholm, Trondheim en de Poolcirkel. Voor de tiende editie van het ICAF-festival stormen ze Rotterdam binnen.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De kudde is onderweg, op de vlucht voor droogte, overstromingen of het verdwijnen van hun leefgebied. Terwijl ze de straten innemen, ontvouwt zich een indrukwekkende confrontatie tussen natuur en stad, tussen mens en dier. Rotterdamse kunstenaars, bewoners&nbsp;en&nbsp;studenten&nbsp;werden&nbsp;in een pre-festival residentie&nbsp;actief betrokken bij het co-cre\u00ebren van twee grootschalige kunstevenementen, waarin spectaculaire visuele sc\u00e8nes ruimte geven voor verbeelding \u00e9n aandacht vragen voor de desastreuze gevolgen van klimaatverandering wereldwijd.&nbsp;<strong>De eerste confrontatie&nbsp;is&nbsp;deze middag,&nbsp;op de&nbsp;Beijerlandselaan, Rotterdam Zuid.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Herds<\/em>&nbsp;is ontwikkeld door&nbsp;<strong>The Walk&nbsp;Productions<\/strong>&nbsp;(makers van&nbsp;<em>Little Amal<\/em>), onder artistieke leiding van&nbsp;<strong>Amir&nbsp;Nizar&nbsp;Zuabi<\/strong>. De levensgrote dierpoppen zijn ontworpen en gebouwd door&nbsp;<strong>Ukwanda&nbsp;Puppets&nbsp;and&nbsp;Designs Art&nbsp;Collective<\/strong>&nbsp;(Zuid-Afrika) en internationale makers.
