In deze workshop deelt Naomi Alexander (artistiek directeur van Brighton Peoples Theatre) inzichten uit haar onderzoek naar leiderschap in community arts, gefinancierd door de Arts and Humanities Research Council van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Op basis van haar bevindingen en workshops met jongeren en community arts makers nodigt ze deelnemers uit in een gezamenlijke ruimte van reflectie en dialoog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In dit open proces is ieders ervaring en perspectief welkom en positioneert Naomi zichzelf als medemaker. Door ervaringsgerichte oefeningen onderzoeken deelnemers wat het betekent om een co-creatief artistiek proces op gang te brengen en daar onderdeel van te zijn. Rollenspellen introduceren ethische dilemma\u2019s die vaak voorkomen in community arts, en stimuleren reflectie over verantwoordelijkheid, zorg, macht en besluitvorming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deze sessie erkent de complexe, vaak onzichtbare vaardigheden die kunstenaars al inzetten en opent een gesprek over hoe deze vormen van leiderschap beter begrepen, ondersteund en ontwikkeld kunnen worden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of her Clore Fellowship, her research identifies key attributes that enable artists to lead co-creative work effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To make the findings accessible, Naomi turned them into a series of illustrations and a podcast, reaching over 3,000 artists worldwide.
