Hoe zou de toekomst eruitzien als onze steden plekken zouden zijn waar de mens en natuur in verbinding met elkaar zouden samenleven? Je wordt uitgenodigd om naar het jaar 2035 af te \u201creizen\u201d en deel te nemen aan het ontwerpen, bouwen en oefenen van deze toekomst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Town Anywhere<\/em> is een grootschalig project voor gezamenlijke verbeelding die grote groepen mensen samenbrengt om een fictieve stad van de toekomst te bedenken en een dag lang vorm te geven met idee\u00ebn, vragen en dromen. Deelnemers vertalen hun visies voor wijken, zorgsystemen, onderwijs, bestuur en openbare ruimtes naar een interactieve installatie waarin verbeelding en dialoog samenkomen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In een tijd van grote, soms verlammende maatschappelijke uitdagingen nodigt Town Anywhere<\/em> uit tot actie door samenwerking. Door samen te bouwen en te ontwerpen verbeelden deelnemers modellen voor een mogelijke toekomst die oog heeft voor klimaat- en ecologische uitdagingen, en die gestoeld is op zorg, samenwerking en verbondenheid tussen mens en natuur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Town Anywhere<\/em> is een oefening in collectieve verbeelding en het terugnemen van zeggenschap over de stad waarin we willen leven en onze rol daarin. Before focusing her creative practice as a socially and ecologically engaged artist she worked as a theatre maker devising, creating and touring work in collaboration with scientists and writers. From 2003 \u2013 2020 she was the\u00a0 co- founder and\u00a0 Exec Director of\u00a0Encounters Arts\u00a0<\/a>midwifing over 90 intimate creative and participatory interventions and processes across the UK that invited thousands of people from\u00a0different backgrounds to explore and express their experiences of the past, responses to the present and\u00a0 hopes and fears about the future.\u00a0 Work included being part of the team representing the UK at the Venice Biennale of Architecture,\u00a0 projects for Liverpool Capital of Culture and the RSA Art and Social change programme in Peterborough. Ruth held local and national roles\u00a0 in the early stages of Extinction Rebellion and she was one of the co-founders of the Culture Declares Emergency network.
