Oorlog wordt te vaak geportretteerd als een mannelijk verhaal, in het nieuws, in romans, in ons collectief bewustzijn, \u00e9n op toneel. In deze voorstelling wordt dit uitgangspunt omgedraaid en worden vrouwelijke stemmen de vertellers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spel als een manier om de wereld te begrijpen is het uitgangspunt van deze voorstelling. Spel bevat een groot potentieel: het cre\u00ebert niet alleen een afspiegeling van onze wereld, maar biedt ook de mogelijkheid om ons een vreedzame toekomst te verbeelden. Oorlog weerspiegelt zich eveneens in spel, bijvoorbeeld in jongensspellen: ze schieten met stokjes, vechten met zwaarden of waterpistolen. In first-person shooters en strategische computerspellen worden oorlogen gesimuleerd. Maar waar zijn eigenlijk de vrouwen in deze spellen, en welke rollen vervullen zij in echte oorlogen? Om antwoorden op deze vragen te vinden, ging theatermaker Natasha Borenko in Mannheim op zoek naar verhalen van vrouwen die oorlog hebben meegemaakt. Het resultaat is een theateravond die door het verkennen van persoonlijke verhalen en het transformeren van spel een nieuwe wereld schept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Een cast bestaat uit 17 vrouwen afkomstig uit Oekra\u00efne, Koerdistan, Syri\u00eb, Iran, Turkije, Nigeria, Kosovo, Bosni\u00eb, Kroati\u00eb en Duitsland. De van oorsprong Siberische regisseur Natasha Borenko ontwikkelt politiek theater, waarbij participatie en spel een instrument is om systemen te deconstrueren en maatschappelijke verandering te oefenen.
