In solidarity with our colleagues in Kabul

A month ago, after our Summer School and during our summer break, we received horrific and heartbreaking news from our colleague Hjalmar Jorge Joffre-Eichhorn from AHRDO in Kabul, Afghanistan, where a suicide bomber had blown himself up in an educational establishment that is preparing young Afghan women for the national university entrance exam. They were rehearsing a new play dealing with the war in Afghanistan, when they received a phone call informing them about the attack in a neighbourhood of Kabul where most of their friends, comrades and colleagues and their families live. We don’t know what to say other than how sorry we are, but we do want to acknowledge and share this horrible news and express our solidarity with all the people affected by it.
